Walk for Nature is WWF's largest annual charity fundraising event. Celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, Walk for Nature will once again be held at Mai Po Nature Reserve. Located in the Deep Bay wetland complex, Mai Po Nature Reserve is a renowned Wetland of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention. Home to a vast array of species, Mai Po Nature Reserve is dubbed a paradise for migratory waterbirds. Due to strict government management, only visitors with government permits can enter the site. Colleagues participating in the event can explore the natural scenery in this restricted area and have fun at the interactive game booths.

As the Sunbird Sponsor of the event, New World Group offers 30 vacancies for colleagues to participate in Walk for Nature.

Vacancies are restricted to colleagues only due to limited quota. In the event of an overwhelming response, colleagues will be chosen by drawing lots. Family members and friends of colleagues can register for the event through WWF.

Remarks:

  1. Duration of the walk: 3-4 hours
  2. The organiser will provide free shuttle bus travelling between Sheung Shui and Mai Po. Parking is not allowed due to limited space.

Organised by Children's Heart Foundation, Heart-to-Heart Charity Walk 2013 features New World Department Store China Limited ("NWDS") as its sponsor. In addition to heightening the public's awareness of children's heart diseases, the event also raises funds for Children's Heart Foundation, offering children with heart diseases proper treatments and allowing them to embark on a new chapter.  

Scheduled to be held on 27 October 2013 (Sun), the event will also feature game booths, Hug and Love photographic zone and a variety show. All participants will receive a gift from Kiehl's and a souvenir. The event is free of charge for the Group's employees as it is a sponsor. Colleagues and their family and friends are welcome to join the event. Vacancies are limited and are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis.
